The play "don't look up" has an interesting irony, describing a society divided by the news of a comet that is about to kill everyone. The metaphor is obvious, but unfortunately, the film doesn't add anything to the dialogue of political differences, and sometimes risks diluting it. The star studded cast includes Jennifer Lawrence, timothee chalamet, Leonardo DiCaprio (who also wrote part of the film) and many others. The talented actor has created many unforgettable real laughter, but the plot cannot overcome the influence of too many immature metaphors on this ideological difference.
Tomorrow's War
The beginning of tomorrow's war is one of the most far fetched assumptions in the history of science fiction in recent years: future military personnel go back to the past to recruit soldiers and fight against invading aliens in the future. In addition to some interesting designs and almost consistent aesthetics, the film presents a series of difficult to connect plots, the actors' boring performances, and the plot development that seems to want to calm the audience rather than entertain or challenge them. There are some action scenes and comedy moments that have an instant sensory impact, but nothing can distinguish this film from other C + science fiction films. With luck, a sequel that is already under development will take the story in a new direction.
Sparrow
A solar flare destroyed most humans and turned the earth into an uninhabitable hell. Scientist finch Weinberg tried to design an intelligent robot that would take over the custody of his dog before Weinberg died of disease. Although "finch" draws on many elements of other post apocalyptic science fiction, it still creates an unforgettable and emotional story about the meaning of being human. As always, Tom Hanks showed excellent and charming performances, easily bearing the weight of fatal diseases and the poor world. Critics who have seen too many films with similar elements have a cynical attitude, but the film has a heart that is hard to ignore.
